Casting

The distinction is based on thickness. Per ASTM B209, aluminum sheet refers to flat-rolled products with a thickness between 0.2 mm and 6.0 mm (0.008" to 0.249"). Aluminum plate is thicker, starting at 6.0 mm (0.250") and above. Sheet is typically used where formability, light weight, and moderate strength are needed — such as automotive panels, roofing, and appliance housings. Plate is chosen for structural applications requiring greater rigidity and load-bearing capacity, such as mold tooling, marine structures, and aerospace components.
Our standard minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 1 metric ton per alloy and specification. For commonly stocked grades like 1060, 3003, and 5052, we may be able to accommodate smaller trial orders starting from 500 kg. For custom specifications, special tempers, or non-standard widths, the MOQ is typically 3-5 tons. Yes, custom sizing is one of our core services. We offer precision shearing and slitting to your exact width and length requirements within our range (width 100-2500 mm, length 500-12000 mm). Our CNC cutting lines maintain tolerances of +/-0.5 mm on width and +/-1.0 mm on length. We also offer custom blanking into circles, rectangles, or irregular shapes. Absolutely. Every shipment includes a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) in accordance with EN 10204 3.1 standard. The certificate documents the chemical composition, mechanical properties (tensile strength, yield strength, elongation), and dimensional measurements of your material. For orders requiring additional testing — such as ultrasonic inspection, hardness testing, or salt spray corrosion testing — we can arrange third-party SGS or BV inspections at competitive rates. Certificates are provided in both hard copy and digital PDF format.
Lead time depends on the product specification and stock availability. For standard stocked grades and sizes, we can ship within 7-10 business days after payment confirmation. Custom-produced orders (non-standard alloys, tempers, or dimensions) typically require 15-30 business days from order confirmation to readiness for dispatch. Shipping transit time varies by destination — approximately 15-35 days by sea to most global ports. We provide full shipment tracking and work with reputable freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery. Rush orders can be discussed case by case.
All aluminum sheet is packed with PE protective film, paper interleaving between sheets, then wrapped in moisture-proof paper and loaded onto wooden pallets or in wooden cases. For container shipment, sheets are secured with steel straps and corner protectors. Our packaging meets international seaworthy export standards and can be customized for specific requirements.
We accept T/T (30% deposit + 70% balance before shipment), L/C at sight, and Western Union for small orders. For established customers, we can discuss flexible payment terms including 30-60 day credit. All prices are quoted FOB or CIF based on your preference.
Store aluminum sheet indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area away from moisture and chemicals. Keep sheets on flat pallets off the ground. Do not remove the protective PE film until ready for fabrication. Avoid stacking different alloys together. For long-term storage (3+ months), check edges periodically for oxidation.
